Chakka varuthathu is available here in supermarkets ..but i miss raw chakka :D ..and also chakkakuru(am a big fan of chakkakuru ;)).. chakkakuru in grated cocunut..yummy :D
A nice juicy pic... But the fact remains, if we had stayed back in Kerala itself, we would not have given a second thought/sight to it.. It is all the part and parcel of the deja vu of a marunaadan malayalee... BTW Chacko, U should be a bit more happy, U atleast get Chakka chips there in the gulf, here on the eastern side of India in Singapore, we have to be more satisfied with the picture in your blog :-(.. All we have is a pair of pseudo mallu hotels, that add some coconut oil on the typical Tamil food to give it a mallu look and smell.. But the result is aweful!!
Hello dear fellow Chakka lover. I had posted a while ago on Chakka Velaichathu (http://sjcherian.blogspot.com/2005/04/chakka-velaichathu-my-favourite-food.html) as well. Very nice picture by the way.
