A Dying Boy's Wish - The Story Of Brenden Foster

An 11-year-old boy's dying wish to feed the homeless is becoming a national movement. Brenden Foster isn't afraid to die. He says he just wants to make a difference, before his time comes. CBS 2's Pat Harvey has his story.

"You doing O.K. baby? Tired? You sleepy?"

Groggy and medicated, Wendy foster's little boy is having rough day.

Doctors gave 11-year-old Brenden Foster two weeks to live. His two weeks were up days ago.

"I'm thinking I hope I'm awake when he decides to pass, because I want to make sure I'm holding him."

Brenden has survived his leukemia long enough to see his dying wish come true. People are calling and emailing, all of them are inspired by his story.

"When I saw how brave and special Brenden is, especially in his darkest hour, I was reminded what bravery really is."

"I think that is great. You think that's great?"

All over the country…

"He made my dream come true. In my lifetime I wanted to change the world and my son did that."

Brenden can barely keep his eyes open as he watches Seattle's homeless being fed over the weekend.

"I don't need to worry until the time is come. So I don't have to think about it if I'm still alive now."

Brenden Foster is in his final days.

"I should be gone in a week or so."

Brenden was a normal kid, dreaming of becoming a marine photographer. Then, last year he was diagnosed with leukemia.

As he faces death, he is thinking of others. This homeless camp captured Brenden's heart.

"Well, I was getting back from one of my appointments and I saw this big thing full of homeless people and then I thought. I should just get them something."

But Brenden is too sick to leave his bed, so volunteers who heard about his story are gathering to feed the homeless in his honor.

"We're making two hundred sandwiches, half ham and cheese, half peanut butter and jelly. He said he didn't want to do all peanut butter and jelly because what if someone was allergic to peanut butter."

"They're probably starving, so they're my friends."

Brenden is surrounding by love, as he shows what real love is all about. He has another wish for everyone -- to follow their dreams.

"Mine already came true."

He's relapsed for the last time. No more chemo. Just pain medication to keep him comfortable.
"It's devastating. But I find great peace in knowing we've had our time together. And that we will see each other again."

"I had a great time and until my time is come. I'm going to keep having a good time."

Brenden passed away in his mother's arms the morning of November 21, 2008, one day after attending a food drive in his hometown.

Barack Obama - Martin Luther Kings Dream come true

When i heard for the first time that Barack Obama is one of the presidential candidates for Democratic Party ...i was surprised... a black man or a person of mixed race trying to become president of United States? Will Democrats endorse him as their candidate?. but i could find that he was moving ahead of Hilary in all aspects and was officially selected as the nominee of Democratic party for their presidential race.

When Obama and Macain was campaigning i wasn't convinced whether he can make a difference, but day after day when i follow media i could find that his race was never a problem for Americans. Am happy about that.. America has changed a lot... they are willing to select a non white as their president.

Its a dream come true for Martin Luther King. Am sure he is watching all thease from heaven :). he will be so happy that American people have changed to such an extent that they are ready to accept a non-white president.

Reminds me of Martin Luther Kings famous speech "I have a Dream" in which he says
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood."

Isn't it time for us to say that his dream had come true?.

Whoever is behind this drama whether its an IOC official or any other stupid minister, they should be considered Criminals. Internet influencing our life... even for old people

Worlds oldest blogger died today. She was 108.

It was a big surprise for me when i came to know that the 108 year old lady was a regular blogger since 2007.

After all the old generation is slowly catching up with the new generation in terms of Internet and related stuff. Lot of old people(is that term correct!!!) are using net for several purposes. I personally know a person who is in his 80's and use internet to search information. He starts his day by reading newspapers online.

I believe everyone is very eager to be the part of Internet revolution. Early it was just computer which was in our house, but now its the computer with internet connectivity which has made the difference. And this information superhighway has become a part of our daily life. Last week when i paid my electricity bill through internet, i was thinking how the internet has become integral part of our life.

Internet is influencing our lives...Its crawling more and more into your personal life. ..I hope it will be for good and good only.

India's best-known soldier dies

The general who commanded the military campaign that led to the creation of Bangladesh has died at the age of 94.

Sam Manekshaw, whose career spanned four decades, was one of India's best known and well-respected soldiers.

Under the British, he was decorated for gallantry in World War II for his part fighting the Japanese army in Burma.

Under his command, India went to war with Pakistan in 1971, supporting Bengali nationalists in what was then East Pakistan.

Pakistan surrendered within 14 days and Bangladesh was born.

In 1973, only a fortnight before he retired, he was promoted to the rank of field marshal, one of only two Indian army generals to rise to the post.

Regarding the photo above, it was taken during my last vacation when i visited the renovated Angamaly Church. Although i was sad to see that they have removed the century old altar and built a new one over it, i was also happy that they have done a good job by building a beautiful church. I took some photos of the glass paintings inside the church. There is more than 100 glass paintings (Artwork in glass done in Belgium) and each and everyone is beautiful in their own way. Major events in Old Testament and New Testament is beautifully crafted in glass.

If u want to enjoy the beauty of the glass paintings please visit the church during day time so that the colors of the glass paintings will be reflected beautifully.

By the way next Sunday is the famous "puthunjayarazcha perunal"(പുതുഞായരാഴ്ച്ച പെരുനാള് ) of the Church.
